Third Bob White novel is finished!
The third Bob White Birder Murder is now in the hands of my publisher, with a tentative release date of next September. Several years ago, I went on a Minnesota Birding Weekend led by birding expert Kim Eckert to Fillmore County, and immediately recognized how it would make a great setting for a murder mystery. The result is this third adventure, titled “A Bobwhite Killing.” I had a blast writing it, even though it required me to do some heavy-duty research about the impact of ATVs on the environment and the geology of southeastern Minnesota. It’s kind of funny in a way – when I was in high school I loved to read and write research papers, but I figured there wasn’t much of a market for that skill. You just never know, do you?
On the marketing front, more bird stores are jumping on the Bob White Birder Murder bandwagon and stocking the series. If your favorite birding supplies store doesn’t carry the books yet, ask them to do so! My publisher loves to hear from them!
