I put away the last bit of Christmas decor yesterday, so now it’s time to dig in to a new year.

Book Benefit for PROP food shelves

I’m really excited about the pre-holiday book benefit I’m going to be doing later this month! My good friends at Millie’s Deli in Chanhassen are hosting me for two mornings of book selling and signing, Nov. 19 and 20, to help me raise funds to restock the local food shelf PROP. We’ re also inviting patrons to bring in items for the shelves, and as an incentive, I’m offering a dollar off a book for each item brought in. In addition, I’ll donate $1 from the sale of each book to PROP, so I’m hoping for a good turn-out of readers to help me help PROP provide holiday food for those in our community who are struggling financially.

Heading north

I’m making my annual trip to Two Harbors, MN, next week, and I can’t wait! Even though the fall colors will be past their peak, it’s always a delight to be up north and leave my responsibilities and Twin Cities busyness behind for a few days.  This past month has indeed been busy with promoting the third book in the Birder Murder series – a book launch, an author’s brunch, a book fair and lots of marketing both locally and online. I’m going to make a stop at the Wild Birds Unlimited in Duluth next Thursday to sign copies of “A Bobwhite Killing” on my way to Two Harbors, but then I’m ‘off-duty’ for the weekend.
